Welcome
A small church with a big front porch.
We're a non-denominational congregation that has been gathering in this corner of Oxford since 1810. We'd love to have you join us on Sunday.
You'll find traditional hymns, a message that speaks to real life, coffee afterward, and people who will remember your name next week. That's about it. No production, no pressure.
Whether you've been in church your whole life or haven't set foot in one in years, the red door is open.

1810
The first meeting house opened its doors to anyone who wished to preach. They're still open.

Our story
Moved up the hill, one stone at a time.
When the Stevenson Dam flooded the valley in 1919, this congregation carried its church, its cemetery and its bell to higher ground. The same bell still rings on Sunday.
About 1956, Lake Zoar was drained so work could be done on the dam. Vivant and Myrtle Stowe walked around where the Pleasant Vale Church had stood and found a silver bowl which Vivant remembered as the bowl used for baptisms.
Life together
Faith. Family. Community.
Stay in the loop
News from the hill, about once a month.
Upcoming events, a note from Pastor Hal, and the occasional bit of history. That's all.
